PENINSULA MANILA

My holiday spent in the Philippines was nothing short of spectacular. My mom and I spent Christmas week at the Peninsula, Manila. The Peninsula Manila is the only hotel in the Makati and Bonifacio Global City districts to receive Travel Guide’s five-star rating. Also known as the “Jewel in the Capital’s Crown,” the Peninsula Manila has set the standard for sophistication as one of the world’s finest luxury hotels, and I strongly agree.

Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted with the friendliest staff of the Peninsula Manila. Doors were opened for every guest, and there was always someone greeting us with smiles. Check-in was smooth and they were able to accommodate to our requests of a room with the best view of the city.

I recommend making reservations at the restaurants far in advance, as the holidays are busy and it’s rare people cancel! There’s a breakfast buffet held every morning in one of the restaurants, Escolta. Get there early as it is always packed! You still have to wait to be seated.

For Christmas, we dined in the lobby, and when I tell you there were no reservations left and we got lucky, I was not joking! No pictures unfortunately, but it was quite an event to experience Christmas at the Peninsula. There’s live music, delicious food, and it felt so luxe! Exactly the experience that they advertise, and I can’t wait to return.
